So what is domain monetization? How can i make money with my domain names?
Domain monetization is simply when you find ways and uses for domain names to generate a revenue stream. This could be by simply selling the domain name or using that domain name to generate a residual income ie; affiliate marketing, PPC marketing and so on. People often by hundreds if not thousands of domain names and simply park them at places like sedo hoping that they either get an offer on the domain name or that they generate enough traffic to earn a pay per click income. This is often not the case as many domain names people buy are based purely on the keywords. For example if you wanted to buy a domain name on Pizza for example.. you wouldn't buy coolthingstodowithbread.com you would buy pizzarocks.com or something of that variant. Now in theory if you are looking to sell that domain name you could make a great profit.. we all know that buying and selling domains can be a very lucrative business indeed.. but there are a few things here that that we need to take int o account.
1: Does your domain name generate traffic? As in unique visitors'?
2: Have you had offers on the domain in the past?
3: Is there interest in the domain name that you have parked?
If that answers to the questions above are no, then you have a domain name that is worth around $7-20 regardless of the keywords it is using. What we suggest is to monetize these types of domain names into mini web sites. We can turn these domain names that would of been sold in bulk on a forum or domainers market place or simply left to expire into monthly income monsters. What we do is design a blog based around that domain names keywords, so in our example above.. PizzaRocks.com we would base our blog on pizza and talk about how much it rocks! We will write unique content for the web site and place your ads and products in high traffic areas so that you start generating clicks and sales.
